Instrumentation: clarinet doubling 3-piece drum kit
 
I composed this piece to perform for young people when I visit their schools. I aspired to write something that would “get the party started,” and this was the result. The nontraditional doubling and raucous nature of this piece make it a really fun way to engage the entire band (that’s right, even the percussionists in the back).
